A Potty for Me!: A Lift-the-Flap Instruction Manual [Parent's Pick] 
We have many different tools to choose from to aid us during the potty training process. For me, one of that most effective potty training tools that I use up to now is a potty training book.
##Why We Chose It:
On the hunt for the perfect training book for my daughter, we came across A Potty for Me!: A Lift-the-Flap Instruction Manual book. Because of the book's unique interactive flaps which had huge and colorful illustrations, I knew I would give in to my daughter's request of purchasing the book.
My daughter loves to flip the pages while letting me read it to her. I find it very easy to train her with this book because aside from being informative, my daughter is highly encouraged to go to the potty. She is now able to sit on her potty chair on her own. She enjoys the rhyming of words and has even memorized some parts. It is definitely a great way to bond with daughter.
The pacing of the book is just about right. It doesn't simply tell you how to use a potty, but it also touches the subject of the feelings of anxiety a child goes through during potty training. My daughter showed great interest in potty training after she read it for the first time. It emphasizes the principle behind the adage "practice makes perfect". Mistakes are bound to happen during the potty training process. My daughter is no longer afraid if she made unsuccessful attempts [going to the potty] sometimes.
##Cons:
The character of the book doesn't indicate if the main character is a boy or a girl. In addition, I think it's better if the book was a bit shorter. Some kids who have shorter attention span might get bored quickly.
