##Why We Chose It:
While most plastic potty seats in the market are affordable, only a handful of them are comfortable to use. My son constantly complained of discomfort and consequently, impeded the potty training process because he refused to use the potty training seats I bought for him.
Still, there are some potty seats which are made of sturdier and comfortable materials but I found them too expensive. Potty training my son wouldn't take that long and it's very impractical to buy one that I'm not going to use for a long time.
I found a simple solution to ease my worries. A friend recommended a padded folding seat which can be used during out-of-town trips - a very good idea since me and my son love to travel on weekends. I used immediately after I bought Mommy's Helper Cushie Traveler. I saw my son's hesitation when I showed him the product, but after much cajoling and 2 pieces of candy, he went ahead and used it. I heaved a huge sigh of relief when I saw him with a huge grin on his face while he was shifting around to make himself comfortable on the toilet seat. My son definitely loved the feel of the padded seat against his bottom.
This product is very convenient and practical. I could easily clean the toilet seat. All I needed were wet paper towels – and voila – it's sparkling clean. I need not worry about germs when my son has to use a public toilet because his cushie traveler can, in a way, protect him from harmful bacteria. The potty seat is also very light and can easily fit my diaper bag. And I love that cushie traveler comes with a washable, bag too. Now, I don't have to lug around bulky toilet seats during our trips to the beach.
##Cons:
The material is too soft so I'm afraid that it would break out into pieces any time (especially when my son is using it). Another drawback is that for some reason, this toilet seat doesn't fit in other elongated toilets, which is too bad because most public restrooms have elongated seats.
